Celebrate the 74th Annual Cherokee National Holiday
The Oklahoma Ozarks comes alive over Labor Day weekend as the 74th Annual Cherokee National Holiday returns to Tahlequah, September 4–6, 2026. Celebrated annually since 1953, the Holiday commemorates the signing of the 1839 Cherokee Nation Constitution and celebrates the rich history, heritage, culture, family, and community of the Cherokee people. The celebration draws tens of thousands of visitors to the region each year.
